A preview of the teams at Malta Vibes

The Malta Vibes Knockout Series #3 is just around the corner, continuing the season of incredible CS:GO action. Teams like Team Singularity, GamerLegion, and Galaxy Racer will be playing in the opening stages of the tournament while FunPlus Phoenix, MAD Lions, and Dignitas will be invited directly into the round of 16.

Analysing some of the more notable teams at Malta Vibes Knockout Series #3, Team Singularity are definitely an interesting prospect, given that the team is currently home to legendary CIS players Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovacs and Denis “seized” Kostin, who are part of a line-up of players who joined the esports organisation in September. Given the calibre of these two players, it should be interesting to see how well they perform against considerably less experienced opponents.

Another interesting team that will be making an appearance at Malta Vibes #3 will be FunPlus Phoenix. FunPlus Phoenix enter the tournament after a disappointing performance at IEM Fall 2021, where they were knocked out early in the group stage. The team will be hoping to perform better at this tournament and improve on their 41.2% win rate over the past three months, otherwise a team shuffle might be on the cards in the future.

While the past line-ups of MAD Lions were contending for titles, the current iteration have been on the rise in the past three months, achieving an impressive 72.7% win rate. The team, who are led by Thomas “TMB” Bundsbaek should be one of the favourites at the Malta Vibes #3 and are likely to make it at least to the semi-finals.

The last team we’ll look at is round of 16 invitees Dignitas. The team enter Malta Vibes #3 after a disappointing campaign at IEM Fall 2021, where they were unable to qualify for the PGL Stockholm Major which takes place later this month. Despite this result, Dignitas have been on an upward trajectory over the past three months, achieving a 63.6% win rate with some notable wins against teams like ENCE, MAD Lions, and FunPlus Phoenix.
