Brentford vs. Everton predictions

Two teams that lost last time out meet at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday, as Brentford host struggling Everton.

The Bees failed massively against Newcastle last week, losing 1-0 at St James' Park, but they will not be too beaten up over the result, as that was their first defeat of the season.

Brentford had previously been doing well without star striker Ivan Toney, spreading the goals around the team in what was an unbeaten start, until their trip to the northeast.

The same cannot be said of Sean Dyche's Everton, who, alongside Luton, have scored the fewest goals in the Premier League this season, only finding the net on two occasions. Both of those came in the same game too, as they have been kept out in four of their five games so far.

The Toffees have largely struggled on the road in the top flight as of late, with their surprise 5-1 win over Brighton in May their only win on their travels since October 2022.

While Brentford have only kept one clean sheet this season so far, they should still be able to overcome Everton on home soil. Thomas Frank's side are 1.854* to collect all three points, but there is more value in backing them to win to nil at 3.230* considering Everton's dismal run in front of the goal.

Brighton and Hove Albion vs. Bournemouth predictions

Brighton's strong start to the season continued at Old Trafford last Saturday, as the Seagulls ran out 3-1 winners against Manchester United.

Roberto De Zerbi's side were clinical and in control for the majority of Saturday's encounter, and they will fancy their chances of repeating that performance against Sunday's opponents Bournemouth.

While Brighton have collected 12 points from five matches, Bournemouth have taken just three in five, and they are yet to win under new coach Andoni Iraola.

The former Rayo Vallecano coach has guided his team to a three-match unbeaten run in all competitions though, and they will be hoping to catch Brighton off guard.

Brighton play their first match in the Europa League this week, so fatigue could soon become an issue for De Zerbi's group. While Brighton are expected to secure all three points, Bournemouth will be confident of at least getting themselves on the scoresheet, having scored at both Liverpool and Brentford in their two previous away games.

A home win and both teams to score is 2.590*, and that looks like a worthwhile play, with Brighton yet to keep a clean sheet all season. Bournemouth have netted six times on their travels in all competitions, and they should be able to make life tough for the Seagulls.

Sheffield United vs. Newcastle United predictions

Sheffield United are still searching for their first win of the season, and host Newcastle United at Bramall Lane on Saturday. Paul Heckingbottom's side have picked up just one point so far, but could consider themselves unfortunate to have lost 2-1 at Tottenham last week, having led until deep into stoppage time.

Newcastle's first match in the Champions League could be seen as a success, as they picked up a point in a 0-0 draw at AC Milan. They will look to extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to three matches this weekend, having previously lost three on the bounce.

Like Brighton, it is not yet known what kind of toll Newcastle’s European exploits will have on their players, and a low-scoring game could well be on the cards.

Only one goal has been scored across Newcastle's last two matches, which is something to note, especially with Sheffield United not known for their attacking prowess. The Blades have only had 41 shots this season, the joint-lowest in the Premier League, and Under 2.75 Goals is worth taking on at 2.080*.
