Parma vs. SPAL predictions

A run of five successive defeats have left SPAL looking increasingly destined for relegation, and Parma are favoured to extend this losing streak on Sunday.

Parma have somewhat struggled for consistency at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, although they have won five of seven home matches versus the current bottom half. They have kept a clean sheet in six of their ten league victories this season.

Despite winning two of their last five away games, SPAL still have the worst away record in the division, having lost ten of 13 matches and conceded just under two goals per game on the road. However, they did score in each of their last six league matches.

AC Milan vs. Genoa predictions

AC Milan

AC Milan could potentially move into the Serie A top six if they earn a victory versus bottom three Genoa, and the odds give them just under a 60% chance of doing so.

Milan are undefeated in six home matches, although four of these finished as draws and they conceded the first goal in three. Stefano Pioli’s side have taken 15 points of a possible 24 in eight home matches against the bottom half this season.

Genoa’s recent 3-0 away win against Bologna was their long-awaited first on their travels this season, but they have still conceded an average of just over two goals per game away from home.

Sampdoria vs. Hellas Verona predictions

Hellas Verona

Despite entering this match nine places beneath opponents Hellas Verona, Sampdoria are very narrow favourites to curb their nine-match unbeaten run.

Sampdoria amassed just four points from their last five home matches, which were largely ill-tempered affairs that featured four red cards. However, they are currently underperforming against their expected points by the largest margin in the division, indicating that they are due for an upturn in form.

In Verona’s last five away matches, four finished as draws and they kept three clean sheets, meaning it isn’t entirely surprising that their fixtures on the road have averaged a league-low 1.9 goals per game. They are unbeaten against the bottom half away from home this season.

Udinese vs. Fiorentina predictions

The odds give Fiorentina a slight edge to record what would be a third away victory in four games against an Udinese team who are winless in six matches.

Fiorentina have endured mixed form away from home, and won just four of nine league matches thus far against the seven teams presently below them in the table. Udinese have netted a league-low ten home goals, but enter this match on the back of only one defeat in their last five runouts at the Dacia Arena.

Juventus vs. Inter Milan predictions

Inter Milan

Inter Milan’s title challenge has been thoroughly disrupted by the ongoing coronavirus concerns, and they will be wary that a defeat to Juventus will see them fall nine points behind.

Juventus are favourites courtesy of having dropped just two points at the Allianz Stadium this season and kept a clean sheet in six of their 11 home wins. Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored in 11 consecutive league appearances and netted the opening goal of the match in seven.

Conversely, Inter have enjoyed the division’s best away form, although they have won only two of their last five matches on the road. To add to Antonio Conte’s concerns, they have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven games and failed to defeat Juventus in the league since September 2016.

Sassuolo vs. Brescia predictions

Brescia’s attempts to escape the bottom three have not been assisted by a ten-match winless run, and Sassuolo are predicted to inflict further misery on Diego Lopez’s side when they visit the Mapei Stadium.

Sassuolo’s home fixtures have been predominantly end-to-end affairs, producing five wins and six defeats from 12 matches that have averaged 3.9 goals per game. The in-form Jeremie Boga has scored in three of their last five league runouts.

Only SPAL (8) have scored fewer away goals than Brescia’s nine, and they enter this match on the back of three successive away defeats. Brescia are still searching for their first league victory of 2020 and have only managed one win this season against teams currently above the bottom six.
