Augsburg vs. RB Leipzig Predictions

Augsburg

Draw

RB Leipzig

12.21%

18.68%

Sparing a highly unlikely goal difference swing, RB Leipzig have virtually confirmed Champions League qualification and are expected to conclude their campaign with a win at Augsburg. Only Bayern can boast a better away record than Julian Nagelsmann’s side, who are undefeated in six matches on the road and have conceded a league-low 15 away goals.

Augsburg are set to finish in lower mid-table, largely as a consequence of the fact that they have not won any of their last six home fixtures. They kept just one clean sheet during this run, although they have also only failed to score on two occasions at the WWK Arena this season. Augsburg have failed to beat Leipzig in their last five attempts.

Bayer Leverkusen vs. Mainz 05 Predictions

Bayer Leverkusen

Draw

Mainz 05

75.65%

14.72%

Leverkusen’s chances of earning a top four spot is out of their hands, but they are predicted to put themselves in the best possible position of achieving it with a victory over Mainz. Leverkusen won four of their last six home games and Kai Havertz, who recently won Bundesliga Player of the Month for May, scored in each of Leverkusen’s last five league wins.

A run of three victories in four matches has culminated in Mainz successfully avoiding the relegation play-off and they enter this fixture having not lost in their last four away games. Despite this, they have incurred the most defeats (18) and conceded the most goals (64) outside of the bottom three.

Borussia Dortmund vs. Hoffenheim Predictions

Borussia Dortmund

Draw

Hoffenheim

53.93%

22.92%

Dortmund are projected to win an arguable dead rubber match courtesy of the fact that they and opponents Hoffenheim have earned Champions League and Europa League qualification respectively. After going unbeaten in their opening 13, Dortmund lost two of their last three home games, although they have averaged just under three goals per game and conceded a league-low 13 home goals at Signal Iduna Park.

Hoffenheim are undefeated in their last six matches, although four finished as draws. Both teams scored in the last 11 meetings between these two sides and the away team has not emerged victorious from this fixture since Hoffenheim defeated Dortmund in May 2013.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs. Hertha Berlin Predictions

Borussia Monchengladbach

Draw

Hertha Berlin

71.88%

17.05%

11.07%

Gladbach need to win or match Leverkusen’s result to hold onto their top four place, and the odds suggest they should achieve the former at the expense of Hertha Berlin. Die Fohlen have won 11 of their 16 home matches this season, averaging just under 2.5 goals per game in the process, and won on the last seven occasions in which they scored the first goal.

Hertha Berlin will be finishing in mid-table, although they lost three of their last four matches and amassed just five points from their last five away fixtures. Both teams scored in this fixture on only three of the last ten occasions it was contested.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs. SC Paderborn 07 Predictions

Eintracht Frankfurt

Draw

SC Paderborn 07

67.92%

18.33%

13.75%

Eintracht Frankfurt are predicted to celebrate the end of their campaign with a home win against last-place (and relegated) Paderborn. Frankfurt collected ten points from their last five league games, although their recent 2-1 win against Schalke was their first victory at the Commerzbank-Arena in five attempts.

Despite earning more points on their travels than at home, Paderborn have the joint-worst away record in the division, having not won on the road since beating Freiburg 2-0 in December. They have just five points to show for their last 14 matches, in which they managed only two clean sheets.

Freiburg vs. Schalke 04 Predictions

Freiburg

Draw

Schalke 04

51.54%

24.26%

Freiburg are expected to complete a miserable second half season for Schalke by defeating them at the Schwarzwald-Stadion. Freiburg’s recent home form has struggled for consistency with four victories and four defeats from their last eight runouts and their home fixtures have averaged a relatively low 2.25 goals per game.

Schalke are now winless in 15 league matches, a run that has produced just six points, six goals and two clean sheets. They last tasted victory away from home when they defeated Werder Bremen 2-1 in November and their expected points return is the lowest outside of the bottom three.

Union Berlin vs. Fortuna Dusseldorf Predictions

Union Berlin

Draw

Fortuna Dusseldorf

24.14%

26.15%

49.71%

Dusseldorf need to match or better Bremen’s result to ensure they do not suffer automatic relegation and the market backs them to do so by beating Union Berlin. They have recently become accustomed to consistently sharing the points, having drawn six of their last ten league games while keeping a lone clean sheet in the process.

Union’s only home win in their last six appearances at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei came against Paderborn and they have failed to score more than one goal in a game there since drawing 2-2 with Wolfsburg in March. The away team has only been victorious in one of these two sides’ last five meetings.

Werder Bremen vs. FC Koln Predictions

Werder Bremen

Draw

FC Koln

58.49%

21.53%

19.98%

While Bremen’s bid to avoid relegation is not entirely within their control, the odds favour them to defeat Koln. Despite this, they have the worst home record in the division, featuring not only the fewest points (nine) but also the fewest wins (one) and goals scored (nine). Bremen also failed to score in seven of their last ten league defeats.

Similarly, Koln are winless in nine matches that have produced only four points and no clean sheets, although they still managed to score in every fixture during this run. Of their last ten league defeats, six were by a margin of at least two goals.

Wolfsburg vs. Bayern Munich Predictions

Wolfsburg

Draw

Bayern Munich

24.34%

21.35%

54.31%

Bayern are celebrating winning an eighth successive Bundesliga table and they are expected to conclude their league campaign with another victory at Wolfsburg. They have the league’s best away record, netted just under three goals per away game and have not dropped points on their travels since losing to Gladbach in December.

Wolfsburg are winless in their last four games and averaged just over a point per game at the Volkswagen Arena in 2019-20, although despite this only three teams have conceded fewer home goals. Bayern are undefeated against Wolfsburg in their last 12 meetings.
