Europa League Predictions

This season’s Europa League is now down to the last 16 with some intriguing ties coming up. Inform your Europa League predictions ahead of the round of 16 with insight from Pinnacle's odds alongside team news and analysis.

Wolves vs. Olympiacos

Wolves were drawn against Olympiacos who produced the biggest shock of the previous round when they beat Arsenal, eliminating the Gunners after an injury-time winner at Emirates Stadium.

Wolves are a side in fine form both domestically and in the Europa League, but after beating the Gunners over two legs, Olympiacos will fancy their chances against anyone in the competition.

Diogo Jota is a player to watch out for in this tie, in Wolves’ attack in recent weeks, the Portuguese international has scored six goals in his last three appearances.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs. FC Basel predictions

Eintracht Frankfurt

FC Basel

Eintracht Frankfurt will take on FC Basel in the last 16 and it is an interesting tie for bettors. Frankfurt will be looking to top scorer Daichi Kamada to fire them to victory, after scoring six goals so far this season in the competition, whilst Basel have some firepower of their own in Fabian Frei.

Both sides have an attacking style of play and there have been over 2.5 goals scored in Eintracht Frankfurt's last six matches in the Europa League, so this could potentially be a tie that offers goals.

Wolfsburg vs. Shakhtar Donetsk predictions

Shakhtar Donetsk

Wolfsburg will bid to reach a third Europa League quarter-final but face a tough assignment against Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk.

Oliver Glasner’s side were runners-up to Gent in the group stages but put in a great display to comfortably beat Malmö in the round of 32. Croatian international Josip Brekalo will be the man to keep an eye on for the German side across the two-legs whilst Brazilian midfielder Alan Patrick certainly has the potential to be a match-winner for Donetsk.

Rangers vs. Bayer Leverkusen predictions

Bayer Leverkusen

Rangers face a difficult assignment after being drawn against Bayer Leverkusen. The German side have the brilliant Kai Havertz, and secured a hugely impressive 5-2 aggregate win over Porto to reach the last 16.

Leon Bailey, a target for a host of clubs, will also be a threat for Steven Gerrard’s side. The odds predict that they will need to be at their best in both legs just to be competitive in this tie. A win at Ibrox in their first leg clash will be imperative to their chances of progressing.

LASK Linz vs. Manchester United predictions

Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will have been pleased to avoid some of the sides predicted to win the competition such as Inter Milan, Sevilla and domestic rivals Wolves, and the Reds are comfortably favoured to qualify from this tie.

LASK, however currently lead the Austrian Bundesliga from RB Leipzig, and do have wins over AZ Alkmaar 3-1 in the last-32 and Sporting Lisbon whilst also scoring four past PSV in the group stages - so Manchester United will need to perform well to advance to the quarter-finals.

Başakşehir F.K. vs. F.C. Copenhagen predictions

İstanbul Başakşehir

FC Copenhagen

Bettors will be familiar with a lot of the Istanbul Basaksehir F.K side with the likes of Martin Skrtel, Gael Clichy, and Robinho in their ranks, whilst Copenhagen's season could hinge on these games, as they have been poor domestically by their own standards.

Basaksehir have been paired with FC Copenhagen for the first time in history and this tie is predicted to be decided by fine margins with both teams at a similar level of quality overall.

Bet: İstanbul Başakşehir vs. FC Copenhagen odds

Inter Milan vs. Getafe predictions

Inter Milan

This should be a great tie that has the potential to see a few goals. Inter are pushing for the Serie A title, whilst Getafe are enjoying one of their best seasons to date, and are only a few points off the top three in La Liga.

The Spanish side have proven their credentials in this completion as well, knocking out last season’s Champions League semi-finalists Ajax in the last round.

Free-scoring Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, and Romelu Lukaku who has netted 23 goals in 34 matches for Antonio Conte's side, will be the danger men for the Italians, whilst a player to watch closely for Getafe will be the dangerous Ángel Rodríguez.

Sevilla vs. AS Roma predictions

AS Roma

Sevilla are familiar with this competition, winning the trophy three times in a row in recent years and will have aspirations to be victorious again this campaign. Both sides have scored and conceded goals in this completion this season and this tie has the potential to see a few goals across both legs.

Sevilla have scored 9 goals (9.07 xGF) and conceded 4 (4.28 xGA) whilst Roma have scored 8 goals (8.25 xGF) and have conceded 3 (5.67 xGA). Munir will be a player to keep an eye on for Sevilla whilst the consistent Edin Dzeko and promising Justin Kluivert are two players to watch for the Italian side.
