System Overview

The 3U cPSB 8+2G Ethernet Switch is a 3U single slot CompactPCI® card that provides eight 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet ports and two 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports in a fully non-blocking switching configuration to be used in an adapted cPSB system. The switch provides a management interface to monitor the status and control the function of each port, and has the ability to configure advanced capabilities.

The 3U cPSB 8+2G Ethernet Switch's unique design allows for wire-speed Ethernet switching in a compact solution. Used in PDSi’s NodeXU-cPSB systems, a pair of hotswappable 3U cPSB 8+2G Ethernet Switches provide redundant switching fabrics while occupying only one 6U CompactPCI® slot. The switch is designed to support the Packet Switching Backplane incorporated in the NodeXUcPSB systems, and to provide external connections through a rear transition module.

Specifications

The management interface allows the user to retrieve individual statistics for each port, and to configure the following attributes: auto-negotiation enable/disable, port speed, half/full duplex select, and flow control enable/disable.
