ComputeNode Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Blade

PDSi’s Intel-based CompactPCI x86 Processor Blade (CP86-N1) provides a robust, high-performance general purpose compute platform for use in CompactPCI PICMG 2.16 systems. This latest addition to PDSi’s ComputeNode™ family of carrier-grade CompactPCI solutions is built around Intel’s 45nm technology “Penryn” Core 2 Duo processor and server-grade “Eagle Lake” chipset (5100 MCH / ICH9R) supporting ECC memory. This powerful, compact blade offers the highest performance and dependability in its class.

   


ComputeNode 1U

The PDSi ComputeNode 1U is a CompactPCI® chassis system for IP-intensive applications. It can be deployed as a dedicated platform for infrastructure services such as DNS, firewalls, log processing and authentication as well as Web hosting applications.

PDSi’s ComputeNode1U (Node1U-Dual DC) is a carrier grade CompactPCIš® chassis solution developed for the embedded control and communications marketplace. The Node1U is a robust Dual Feed DC, two-slot cPCI server in a 1U form factor (1.75” high), featuring an integral Telco Alarm monitoring fans and power with front and rear status LEDs and rear alarm port. Telco requirement for replaceable air filter is also provided. ComputeNode Dual-DC may be densely packed into any new design or existing rack

PDSi's ComputeNode2U is an efficient carrier-grade cPCI chassis system. This four-slot cPCI chassis measures only 2U high. Offering a unique horizontal design, superior functionality and manageability, it may be densely packed into any new design or existing rack for mission-critical applications. With exceptional slot density, an out-of-bandwidth system alarm card for monitoring, control status and alarming, and economical repair/upgrade, ComputeNode2U is a compact product with superior functionality and manageability.

The ComputeNode 4U Quad Domain (Node4U) is a carrier-grade CompactPCI® solution developed for the communications and embedded controls marketplace. Like all of PDSi’s products, the Node4U has been designed to be compliant with Telcordia NEBS Level 3 GR-1089-CORE and GR-63-CORE, for installation in the Central Office. It can be integrated with a range of options to meet your specific needs. The ComputeNode 4U Quad Domain features PDSi’s compact horizontal design, with a full eight-slot, four domain cPCI backplane for use with both front and rear transition cards.

PDSi's ComputeNode3U™ cPSB is an efficient PICMG 2.16-based carrier-grade cPCI chassis solution. The cPSB architecture embeds the Ethernet switching fabric within the system at the board level. PDSi's unique cPSB design utilizes a single cPCI slot for inclusion of a dual fabric, 8-port, layer 2 10/100Mbps Ethernet switches with 21 GigE uplink ports each. With exceptional slot density, an out of bandwidth system alarm card for monitoring, control status and alarming, and economical repair/upgrade, ComputeNode3U cPSB is a compact product with superior functionality and manageability.

The PDSi 3U cPSB 8+2G Ethernet Switch is a 3U single slot CompactPCI® card that provides eight 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet ports and two 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports in a fully non-blocking switching configuration to be used in an adapted cPSB system.

Alert!Node Smart Alarm and System Manager

The PDSi Alert!Node Smart Alarm and System Manager serves as the shelf management controller for the PDSi NodeXU systems, accessible through the rear of the chassis without using a cPCI slot. The Alert!Node monitors cPCI devices, power, and cooling subsystems. The Alert!Node provides remote connectivity, local alarm indications and dry relay contact closures.


Enhanced Alert!Node

The Enhanced Alert!Node serves as the Chassis Management Controller (ChMC) for the PDSi ComputeNode family of CompactPCI systems. Accessible through the rear of the chassis, it incorporates an IPMI-compliant Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) to monitor and control PICMG 2.9 compliant devices.
