Pinnacle Data Systems, Inc. (PDSi) offers a range of innovative services specifically for the Telecommunications market space.  PDSi works closely with Network Equipment Providers (NEPs) to develop NEP-specific turnkey solutions to help accelerate time to market, improve overall operating cost structure and provide a flexible and responsive support mechanism to meet rapidly changing business requirements.

PDSi has partnered with AMD to design a cutting-edge quad-core AMD Opteron™ processor-based AdvancedTCA® reference design kit for next generation Telecom applications and can provide the following services:

  • Fulfillment

    Off the shelf fulfillment of boards based on the AdvancedTCA® reference design kit.

  • Modification

    Modification of PDSi’s AdvancedTCA® reference design kit to meet application specific requirements.

  • Integration

    A complete, integrated solution.  PDSi will provide integration and test services with the AdvancedTCA® reference design kit, including interoperability testing with the chassis, switches, AMC cards, OS, middleware and software.

  • Custom Design

    Custom designs for servers, boards, blades or complete systems based on AMD technology.

ATCA AMD Blade F-1Dual AMD Opteron™ ATCA® Blade with RTM Interface

PDSI’s new Dual AMD Opteron™ ATCA® Blade with RTM Interface (ATCA-F1) provides a robust, high-performance general purpose compute platform for use in building AdvancedTCA® systems. Architected around AMD Opteron processors with HyperTransport™ technology, it features two “Socket F” CPU sockets that can be populated with either 2200 series dual-core or the latest 2300 series quad-core processors for ultimate computing power in the carrier-grade AdvancedTCA™ form factor.

PDSI’s new dual display graphics module (XMC-E24D) is a versatile, high performance graphics subsystem featuring high speed switched XMC interconnects in the familiar CMC/PMC form factor. It is designed for use with VITA 42.3 compatible VME, CompactPCI®, AdvancedTCA®, and PCI Express processor boards with an XMC mezzanine card interface. Using the ATI Radeon™ E2400 Graphics controller from AMD (based on ATI’s “M72” core), the module enables these systems to take full advantage of AMD’s advanced graphics technology.

COM Express ModuleAMD Socket S1 COM Express Module

PDSI's new AMD Socket S1 COM Express Module (COMX-S1) is a low cost, compact, embeddable computing core with the capability to drive a broad range of OEM applications. Built around AMD's x86-based Socket S1 processors, it enables 64-bit computing at a progression of performance levels from the ultra low-power AMD Sempron TM 2100+ (perfect for fanless applications) to the dual-core muscle of AMD Turion TM X2 TL62.
